Research work:

My research mainly focused on identifying which flavonoids are essential for the symbiotic nitrogen fixation in Pisum sativum (pea) and to determine how they are biosynthesized and how their production is regulated. This will help us better understand the nodulation of pea, and help reveal the pattern of flavonoids in host specificity across legume species. At the same time, I have also developed a visual screening system that can be used in the hairy root transformation system for Medicago truncatula.
